Shu

Liu Bei

 

 

First Emperor of Shu.  He is said to be a descendant of Liu Teng, a king of the Early Han.  He gathered together a volunteer army and participated in the war against the Yellow Turban Rebels.  He wandered China leading his men and fighting.  He eventually ends up ruling one of the Three Kingdoms.

Guan Yu

 

 

Head of Shu's Five Tiger Generals and blood brother to Liu Bei and Zhang Fei.  Courageous and loyal, he was worth "ten thousand troops".  He was left in charge of Jing upon Liu Bei's entry into Shu.  He was later captured and killed by Wu forces.

An officer of Shu.  He served Liu Biao and Han Xuan.  While serving Han Xuan, he has a terrific battle with Guan Yu.  After joining Liu Bei he continues to lead men into battle.  He joins the ranks of the Five Tiger Generals after Liu Bei enters Han Zhong.

Wei Yan

 

 

An officer of Shu.  Originally with Liu Biao, he eventually swore loyalty to Liu Bei.  A fine warrior, he was second only to the Five Tiger Generals in strength and ability.  After Zhuge Liang's death, he rebelled against Yang Yi.  However, he was killed by Ma Dai at Zhuge Liang's secret request.

Cao Cao

 

 

King of Wei.  He first showed potential during the Yellow Turban Rebellion as a leader of a local cavalry unit.  Following the death of Dong Zhuo, he traversed the continent laying the foundation for the state of Wei.  Posthumously, he is named Marshal Emperor of Wei.

Xiahou Yuan

 

 

An officer of Wei and cousin to Xiahou Dun.  From the start, he was part of Cao Cao's cadre.  He was particularly famous for his daring surprise attacks on various enemies.  He fell victim to a trap set by Shu's Fa Zheng at Mt. Ding Jun and was killed by Huang Zhong.

Xiahou Dun

 

 

A General of Wei and Cao Cao's cousin.  He lost his left eye to an arrow shot by Cao Xing in the fight with Lu Bu.  He survived and went on to lead Cao Cao's forces in a number of fights.  He died of illness soon after Cao Cao's death.

An officer of Wu and weilder of the Striking Staff.  He served from the time of Sun Jian.  With the help of Zhou Yu, he devised the "Bitter Meat" plan at the battle of Chi-Bi.  He pretended to switch allegiance to Cao Cao and succeeded in burning all of Cao Cao's ships.  This led to Wu's victory.
